"In Cumbria right now there are around 1,000 people accessing treatment for their drug problems."

DRUG SERVICE USERS HAVE RIGHTS TOO!
The Cumbria Users’ Project (CUP) encourages and supports drug users to speak up and have a say about the delivery of drug services.
The knowledge and skills of service users and their families can help influence and improve the way that future services are planned and provided, & the CUP has had real success in helping make this possible.
We have meetings every six weeks in Penrith, plus local mini-forum meetings every month. Lunch is provided and service users attending these meetings will each receive a High Street voucher for their time.
We arrange for service users to attend conferences and training around the country.
Four service users attended a two-day conference on safer injecting at Lords cricket ground in October. More recently Gareth, from Clear Choice attended the annual conference on Drug Related Deaths in Manchester.
For information about forthcoming training and conference events please contact your local development worker.
