While everyone seems to have a website, Citizens Advice South Lakeland have only just recently developed their own, and many people don't realise what actually goes into the making of one.

As a charity, every penny counts, so a successful funding bid for a website late in 2006 from Awards For All (Big Lottery Fund), was much needed. By January 2007 we had identified a host, web designer, and done much of the project planning.
A huge amount of information was collected from our organisation and turned into a format suitable for web pages. Useful features such as web-based calendars and email, both accessible from anywhere, were developed and added. These information sharing solutions will hopefully help solve some of the geographical problems the two Bureaux experience.
After endless hours of designing, alterations, consultancy and some bizarre photography, here we are, by April 2007 the project is now complete.
The website reflects our aims and goals, and meets its requirement to be a public window on what we do, how we help and how to contact us. It is yet another way for us to better serve those most at need from our services - even when our doors are closed.
We hope the site will change and evolve over time, so please call back to see.
